The waitlist

When you join the waitlist, we store your email address, the form you used, and the time you signed up. We use it only to tell you when Ask Shorty opens and to invite you in.

Your email is stored with our database provider, Supabase. We don't sell it, share it with advertisers, or add it to anyone else's list. We keep it until you ask us to delete it or until the waitlist closes.

To be removed, email matt.savas@gmail.com from the address you signed up with.

This website

This site has no advertising or analytics trackers. Our host, Vercel, keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and browser type, to run and secure the site.

What the app stores on your device

Your chat threads and your Learn progress stay on your device. They aren't uploaded to our servers or synced to the cloud. Deleting the app removes them.

What happens when you ask a question

The text of your question, plus the relevant thread context, goes to our backend. The backend uses a third-party AI provider, currently Google Gemini, to write the answer. That provider processes your question under its own terms and privacy policy.

Leave personal, confidential, or sensitive details out of your questions, since that text leaves your device.

What the app doesn't collect

The app doesn't need an account. It doesn't collect your name, email, location, or contacts, and it has no advertising or analytics trackers.
